Not all vinyl graphics and signage companies are created equal.

VSP Graphic Group is a 3M Certified Installation Company, a member of the United Application Standards Group, has the first and only UASG Master Certified female installer and is also 3M MCS Warranty Certified. This means that VSP is tested and preferred for its best business practices, top-tier technical skill, experience, and highest-quality production process and equipment.

What makes being 3M Certified so important?

To become certified, there are specific criteria that have to be met in order to be considered. 3M requires that all candidates submit photos of completed work, prove they have been in business for a number of years (VSP has been around for over 25 years!) and that they are insured to protect consumer property as well as having workmanship comp insurance. They also require an extensive list of references from installers asking them to rate the company in five different categories. 

An on-site interview is then conducted where they get to know the installers, and the employees, observe the business in operation and provide a grade. A 3M representative will even observe a vinyl wrap in progress and the installers are evaluated accordingly. Only once all of the above requirements have been completed, a board of director for the UASG votes to determine the eligibility of the company to be tested for certification. We then attended 3M's optional full installation training prior to the test in which we learned and confirmed we are using the best and most preferred graphic installation techniques. 

Once approved by the UASG board, rigorous hands-on and written testing is conducted. After passing all the interviews and tests, the scores are reviewed by both 3M and UASG.

That’s just the long and rigorous road to becoming a 3M Certified Graphics Installation Company. In order to maintain this certification, VSP Graphic Group routinely provides proof of continued employment of the tested installers and fulfill insurance requirements. Continued education in newly developed materials and tools is also required and additional testing may be implemented at 3M's discretion.

What about VSP’s printing products and applications? Do they face scrutiny from 3M?

In addition to being a 3M Certified Installation company, VSP also has been tested and approved by 3M for their MCS Warranty, which requires a thorough testing and assessment of our production facility. This encompasses a review of our printers, software, inks, and a plethora of other variables.
